Austin serves as the Baptist Campus Minister (BCM) at Georgia State, where he is passionate about reaching, discipling, and equipping college students to live on mission for Christ. He graduated from the University of North Georgia, where he met his wonderful wife of eight years, Savannah. Austin later earned his M.Div. from Southeastern Seminary, where he also served on staff at a local church. Austin and Savannah have two beautiful daughters, Emerson and Mercy. If you can’t find Austin, chances are he’s at a local coffee shop.

Hello, everyone my name is Sarah. I am serving as the Campus Missionary at Georgia State this is my second year as a Campus Missionary at GSU. I graduated with BS in Education from Georgia State. While I was at Georgia State I was active in the BCM serving as president and women’s discipleship leader. I am currently furthering my education by working on my M. Div. at Southeastern Seminary. Hello! My name is Sophie and I have the honor of being president of the BCM this year. I am a senior studying psychology and I have special interests in coffee and running.

When I first came to the BCM, I was shocked by how close and welcoming everyone was. I joined the BCM when I was a freshman. Since then, the BCM has helped me have a faith built on Christ. My goal this year for the BCM is to create an environment where students can know the Lord deeper, make disciples, and have a solid foundation in the Lord alone. I’m super excited for this school year and what the Lord is doing at Georgia State! Matthew 7:24-25

Hey everyone my name is Julia, I’m happy to serve as the VP of missions this year! I’m a 4th year student at GSU studying Elementary Education. I’ve been part of the BCM for almost four years now and love it so much. We as the BCM, want to reach our campus with the gospel. We as the missions team hope to do that through weekly evangelism, monthly international student dinners, prayer walks, and more! I’m excited to see what God does through our ministry this year.

Hey yall! My name is Camiyah and I’m an upcoming senior studying psychology. I enjoy reading, writing, and photography. I’m so excited to be the VP of Fellowship this upcoming year and see what the Lord does through our community. Through the BCM the Lord has shown me how important and joyful community can be and I can’t wait for more students to experience the love the Lord brings through it. Wassup yall, my name is Caleb Jones but I go by CJ. I am this years video coordinator.

I am going into my 6th AND FINAL year of college as a photography major. Yes, 6th year, yes I’m ready to leave, but the Lord has blessed my extended time here at school with making new friends, growing and helping lead others here at the BCM and on campus.

Some hobbies are laying in bed, practicing the electric and bass guitar, eating good food and reading comics.

Worship Leader

Hey! My name is Ethan Taylor, and I’m a junior at Georgia State University. This year, I’ll be serving as a Worship Leader here at the BCM!

I’ve been a part of BCM for the past two years, and during that time, I’ve grown so much through this community of believers. I love serving others, leading people in worship, sharing the Gospel, and reaching others with the love of Christ. Hello! I’m Juliana, a rising junior studying journalism at GSU. I’m excited to go into my third year with the BCM, to serve and love our college community :) I love reading, writing, history, playing piano and drinking tea and I hope to learn to love new things as I meet new people. International Student Minister

Hey BCM! My name is Lauren Ortiz, and I will be your International Student Leader. I am a sophomore at GSU studying Biology.

This is my second year at The BCM, and it has been such a blessing in my life. Through The BCM, I have experienced meaningful fellowship, opportunities for mission work, and a stronger desire to seek the Lord. If you have struggled to find Christ-centered friendships, The BCM is the perfect place to meet amazing and funny people!

In my free time, I enjoy playing around with cameras, playing futsal, drinking coffee, hiking, visiting parks, going to the gym, and hanging out in general.

Men’s Minister

Hi, I’m Christian! I am a junior and serve as the Men’s Minister for the GSU BCM. I can’t wait to see what God does this school year! I also serve as a pastoral intern at Rehoboth Church Family, where I help lead with the youth and young adults ministry. I enjoy serving others, building relationships, and finding new ways to grow in my faith. In my free time, I enjoy pickleball, cooking, and traveling!

Women’s Minister

Hi! I’m Ruthie, this year’s Women’s Minister. I’m a Junior at GSU studying Sign Language Interpreting. I am fluent in American Sign Language. I love a good story regardless of the form it takes. I enjoy writing and lots of different types of crafts such as sewing and crochet. While I have many hobbies, I have no passion greater than that of the gospel. I can’t wait to see how God works through me and the rest of the BCM this year.

Hi! My name is Kamyra Lynch, your Hospitality Director, and I’m a Senior at Georgia State majoring in Studio Art! In my free time I enjoy The Arts, spending time with family and friends, getting good eats, singing, shopping, and volleyball! Missions Fundraising

Hello! I’m Gabri and I’m currently entering my third year at GSU and my first for leadership at the BCM. I’m so excited to be a part of such a strong group of believers and fellow friends.

I’m currently majoring in Economics but share a passion for film as well! Whenever I can I try to watch as many movies, read as many books, and travel as far as a I can. With that said I’m looking forward to this upcoming school year!
